Vegetarian Festival
underway in Pattaya

Thousands
of people participated in the opening activities on October 13 for this year’s
Majestic Vegetarian Festival 2004. The opening day festivities included a parade
featuring a large fireworks spitting dragon, lions, provincial floats carrying
sacred images, and the largest ‘Jabchai Jae’ pot in the country. The

at Grand Sole Hotel

A grand display of fine products competing in the “The
Best of One Tambon One Product” contest was on show for judging at the
Grand Sole Hotel on Second Road on October 5. Chawalit Sanguthai, Banglamung
deputy district chief presided over the opening ceremonies. A panel of VIPs,
product manufacturers and experts judged the competition.

The Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa, led by William
E. Heinecke, chairman and CEO of Royal Garden Resort Plc and Kevin J.
Beauvais, chief operating officer of Royal Garden Resorts Plc presided
over a ‘thank you party’ and the grand opening of their new swimming
pool as well as the unveiling of the hotel’s new image. The event took
place on October 9 around the pool area with honored guests and hotel
customers, staff and management joining in the lime green theme of the new
‘Manao Bar’.

Cup’ after defeating 46 other teams. Just eleven points separated first
and second place after a full day of bowling last Saturday.
