Announcements

The Parent-Teachers Association and ISE are pleased to invite you to the Family Fun Day 2005 at the International School Eastern Seaboard, Burapha Golf Club on January 30, 11 a.m. till 3 p.m. Apart from great food and lots of activities there will be soccer and softball games to take part in. Clubs

Novelist Dean Barrett will be signing books and will give a talk on “Writing in Thailand” at Pattaya’s oldest and largest expat meeting, the Pattaya City Expats Club, on Sunday January 30 at 10.30 a.m. The group meets every Sunday at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant at the north end of Pattaya Beach Rd from 9:30 a.m. - noon for an international breakfast buffet and helpful advice for expats. Guest speakers. Everyone welcome. Admission is free.

The Asian Business Club is very proud to celebrate its First Anniversary on Sunday January 30 with an extraordinary party at the Art Café in Pattaya, Naklua Road. Everyone is invited for the BBQ buffet poolside for only 350 baht (kids free and please bring their swimming suits for a dip in the pool). German draft (pils) beer at cost price. Events

Van Gogh in Pattaya. Dutch actor Klaas Hofstra portrays in this one person play the inner most soul of Vincent van Gogh through letters written to his brother, his mother and sister. Hofstra gives his exclusive performance in English on January 28 from 8 p.m. (curtain time). The performance is at Ben’s residence next to the Jomtien Pacific Hotel area. Duration of the play is 100 minutes and includes an interval of 15 minutes. Entrance fee is 500 baht includes one drink. Proceeds will be donated to tsunami victims. Slated as the “black tie” event of the year, it will take place on Saturday January 29 in the Royal Orchid Sheraton ballroom from 6.45 p.m. till 2 a.m. The evening starts with a champagne reception, cover band, dance music before, during and after dinner, four course, 5-star dinner, wine and beer, internationally-acclaimed Australian entertainment highlight and a DJ from midnight to close.
