Announcements

The well-known Indian physician Dr Kamal is back in Pattaya. He now practices at his new Dr. Kamal clinic located on Soi 16 in South Pattaya, close to the Sikh Temple. Dr Kamal has devoted himself to naturopathic practices and heals with magnetic energy and special massages. Every Sunday from 10:30 am to 1 pm, Dr Kamal treats any patient free of charge. The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, December 2. The Club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11 a.m. This week the PCEC welcomes back Gavin Waddell, head of the International Relations and Marketing Department of Phyathai Sriracha Hospital, and Khun Kingkarn, business development manager who will make a detailed presentation about their hospital. They will be accompanied by a doctor from the hospital who will talk about colonoscopy and also by a nurse who for 550 baht will administer the 2008 flu shot vaccine. For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the phone. The Royal British Legion, Chonburi Thailand Branch is now up and running at Tropical Bert’s. You do not have to have served in H.M. armed services to join as long as you support the principles of the Legion you are more than welcome. All members receive a 15% discount every day at the bar and we have a get together every Sunday lunch (free food). New and only at Moon River Pub! The After Work Club, Sunday through Thursday, 7 pm to midnight, offers guests a Western or Thai evening menu. The Young Thai Sikh Association (YTSA) will be organizing a Family Fun Fair the "Punjabi Family Mela" at the Thai Sikh International School campus grounds in Bangna on Sunday December 9, from 12:00 to 17:00.
