New mayor sworn
in for Plutaluang
A new mayor has been elected for Plutaluang Sub-district Administrative
Organization, together with a 16-member council.
Mayor Somsak Charoensuk was sworn in on November 15 after the Election Committee
of Chonburi Province had approved the election conduct.
Sattahip District chief Narong Theerajantarangkul read the results to a meeting
of the Plutaluang Sub-district Administrative Organization.

Charity Club of Pattaya donates to 2007 Poppy Day appeal
Even though the Charity Club of Pattaya is busy with last
minute preparations for the Charity Gala Dinner, they found time to meet
with Middy Campbell, chairman of the British Legion Chonburi Branch and vice
chairman and Poppy Day organiser, Bob Myers, to donate 10,000 baht to help
with the first Poppy Day appeal held in Pattaya.

Pattaya longboat races could become national event says Nongprue mayor
A huge crowd gathered at the Mabprachan Reservoir last weekend
to watch a 2-day event featuring traditional long boat races. Held
November 17 to 18, viewers stood along the banks of the reservoir and
wildly cheered as the rowers showed their athletic prowess and competed
against each other in the spirit of friendly rivalry.
