Eighty-three teams of youngsters from the Eastern region are taking part in a painting competition, with the HRH Princess Soamsawalee Trophy as first prize. Itthipol Khunplome, chief advisor to the mayor, along with Saran Tantichamnan, Central Festival Center general manager, opened the competition on December 1 at Central Festival Business Center.

The finals of the 6th Montien Tennis Championship on December 10 saw 16-year-old Greg Goodall, who is of Thai-Scottish parentage, defeat 19-year-old Mark Kolenberg with a score of 6:2 and 6:1, to receive the Men’s Singles Open Trophy.
