The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, January 27. The Club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11am. Everyone is warmly welcome. This week the PCEC welcomes the unusually named Dr. Penguin, an entertainer and magician who has performed all over the world and has appeared in major rock shows, before royalty, and at major political events such as APEC. Dr. Penguin performs his own special brand of Comedy Magic. This will be followed by the ever lively Open Forum and update on happenings in and around Pattaya. For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the phone. The Royal British Legion Thailand is now firmly established at Tropical Bert’s 2nd Road next to Soi 6/1. We are now approaching 70 members, why don’t you become No 70. Served in H.M. Armed Forces?
