Cited for their sacrifices and dedicated humanitarian work in the service of mankind, President Jan Abbink and Rotarian Carl Dyson were conferred with the most prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award.

They left on the following day to visit some of the humanitarian projects in Buriram in the northeast.

Past President Peter and Nitaya Rottman, who are the liaison Rotarians for the local club, led the Rotarians on a visit to various schools in the community which are under their care and where clean drinking water filtration systems have been installed.

The visiting Rotarians from Switzerland were so impressed and inspired by the work carried out by the local Rotarians that they pledged further support for the ongoing humanitarian projects thus ensuring that the children in Isaan can look forward to receiving hygiene and health care and education for many years to come.
