Visits humanitarian projects in Buriram
Rotarians from different parts of the world gather for an evening of
fellowship with friends in the Rotary Club of Krasang Buriram.

At a reception held to welcome Past District Governor Dr.
Walter Mueller and Mario Barblan from District 2000 in Switzerland on their
recent visit to Thailand, two Rotarians of the Rotary Club Eastern Seaboard
were presented with Rotary’s highest recognition.
Cited for their sacrifices and dedicated humanitarian
work in the service of mankind, President Jan Abbink and Rotarian Carl Dyson
were conferred with the most prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award.
They left on the following day to visit some of the
humanitarian projects in Buriram in the northeast.
Happy

Past President Peter and Nitaya Rottman, who are the
liaison Rotarians for the local club, led the Rotarians on a visit to
various schools in the community which are under their care and where clean
drinking water filtration systems have been installed.
The visiting Rotarians from Switzerland were so impressed
and inspired by the work carried out by the local Rotarians that they
pledged further support for the ongoing humanitarian projects thus ensuring
that the children in Isaan can look forward to receiving hygiene and health
care and education for many years to come.

the reception held in Pattaya Carl Dyson (2nd left) and President Jan Abbink
were each conferred with the Paul Harris Award by Past District Governor Dr.
