A 37-year-old Bangkok man was killed when he was
thrown from his pickup truck after slamming on the brakes on Sukhumvit
Road.
Chanin Kawinwanich was thrown from his Toyota Vigo in
front of U-Crane Partnership Ltd. around 5:30 p.m. Nov. 19. He was
pronounced dead at the scene with skull and neck fractures.
A witness said Chanin was driving at high speed
toward Sattahip when a baht bus picking up passengers pulled out into
traffic without looking, forcing the Bangkok man to quickly apply his
brakes to avoid a collision. Chanin lost control and the truck smashed
into a power pole, ejecting the driver who was not wearing a seatbelt.
