Christians believe Easter is the most important holy day
in the liturgical year. According to the gospels, Jesus rose from the dead
on the third day after his crucifixion for our sins.
During the whole last week, what happened during Easter
week some 2000 years ago was in focus at the Norwegian Seamen’s Church in
Pattaya, through services and social gatherings.
The week culminated in the celebration of Jesus’
resurrection at the Norwegian Church in Pattaya on Easter Day - last Sunday,
April 24.
40-50 people gathered for a free Norwegian breakfast at
10 a.m., followed by the Easter Day service conducted by Senior Pastor Jan
Olav Johannessen. It was a jubilating service, with a lot of happy songs to
celebrate that Jesus rose from the dead and is living today.
