police and city enforcement officers must be more vigilant in enforcing laws
and regulations already on the books.

Pattaya City Council members say more needs to be done to
curb the growing number of food carts clogging the city’s beachfront.
City Council President Tavich Chaiswangwong said at an
Aug. 31 meeting that food carts contribute to congestion along Beach Road,
take up valuable parking spaces and annoy tourists.
Councilman Somchai Chowna complained Jomtien Beach is
also overrun with motorcycle taxis who park their bikes anywhere they like.
Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome said police and city enforcement
officers must be more vigilant in enforcing laws and regulations already on
the books. He said city hall also is preparing to increase the number of
regulatory officers on patrol on holidays and weekends.
