Amari Orchid Pattaya under the leadership of general
manager David Cumming, together with his corporate sales team, the
management and the staff, recently hosted a fun day out for their corporate
clients under the theme ‘Corporate Boat Trip 2011’ at Koh Sak.
This is the 7th year that the hotel has organized this
kind of activity to personally say thank you to all the customers who are
mainly in the corporate market and the hotel’s top supporters.
Representatives of each company invited were the senior management,
directors and managers. Altogether some 300 guests joined in the fun this
year divided equally into 4 separate teams, coloured red, yellow green and
blue.
Also joining in this year were representatives from the
Amari Orchid’s sister hotels, namely the Amari Boulevard, Amari Atrium,
Oriental Residence, and Amari Watergate, all from Bangkok, plus the Amari
Nova Suites Pattaya and Amari Emerald Cove Koh Chang. This is a great
opportunity for management to meet and greet with their top clients and
prospective supporters as well as introduce them to the other properties by
the ONYX Hospitality Group.
After the registration at 7 a.m. on Saturday 19 November,
a delicious buffet breakfast was served at the Mantra Restaurant & Bar. All
the guests then proceed to the beach in front of the hotel, before being
transferred to the four different boats, beautifully decorated and fully
stocked up with snacks and drinks of both the soft and hard variety.
On the way the boats stopped over at the parasailing pad
where most of the guests had a go at soaring high over the bay of Pattaya.
It was indeed the first experience at this sport for some of the guests, and
many smiles and much laughter was an inevitable result.
The trip then continued to Koh Sak Island where a vast
selection of food and unlimited drinks was served by the hospitable staff
from Amari Orchid Pattaya. Beautiful white sand and a chance to dip in the
fresh, clear waters of Koh Sak was one of those once-a-year occasions for
many of the guests, and an opportunity not to be missed.
After a buffet lunch, various games and activities were
arranged between the teams, one of the highlights being the tug of war. It
was a tough series of matches but eventually the blue team got away with
winning the prize. A raffle drawing also took place, giving away many great
vouchers supplied by the Amari Hotels Resorts & Spas.
As the sun was about to set it was time to go back to the
mainland and each team was transferred back to the boat after posing for a
group photo to keep as a memento. The boat sailed across Pattaya Bay with a
beautiful sunset as a backdrop and once ashore all the guests were welcomed
back with cold towels by resident manager Max Sieracki at Tavern by the Sea,
and his team, this followed by sumptuous snacks and drinks before it was
time to say goodbye.
It was indeed an exhausting day for all and special
thanks must go to the team from the Amari Orchid Pattaya for a great day
out, with everyone commenting how they were really looking forward to the
next one.
Look out for more activities by Amari Orchid Pattaya as
they promise lots of interesting activities this month and over 2012.
