A Norwegian man was robbed of more than 60,000 baht
in cash and electronics by a working girl he took back to his hotel
room.
Asbjorn Gulliksen, 69, called police to the Royal
Hill Resort in Jomtien Beach Feb. 5 after awakening to find his rent-a
girlfriend of two days gone and his room safe cracked open. Taken while
he slept was 25,000 baht in Norwegian kroner, a laptop computer and two
credit cards.
Hotel staffers told police they saw the unidentified
bargirl leave around 2 a.m. with a black bag and plastic bag under her
arm. Officers planned to review security camera footage in hopes of
identifying the thief.
