Embassy Force Protection Detachment Chief of Naval Security Scott M. Bernat
(middle) at Region 2 Headquarters in Chonburi. Discussions included Royal
Thai Police law enforcement safety and security initiatives, as well as
continued US Embassy support of these programs, especially in the Pattaya,
Laem Chabang, Sriracha, Banglamung and Sattahip areas. Joined by (l-r) Sriya

To celebrate His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 80th
birth anniversary on December 5th, the management and staff of Dusit Thani
Pattaya organized a beach cleanup led by Prawes Akanimart, president of the
Dusit Thani Pattaya Green Leaf Committee and Songkram Karunataruekun,
officer-in-charge of the committee’s projects. The shorelines from North
Pattaya to Central Pattaya were cleaned, ridding them of empty plastic
bottles and other rubbish that had washed ashore.
‘Los Requerdos’, a Philippine band with a wide range of
songs from all decades, entertains guests at the Lanna Coffee Shop and lobby
area of the Thai Garden Resort, North Pattaya Road, performing daily
from 5:30 pm, except Sundays, in a relaxing atmosphere by the pool of the
Resort until 10 pm.
