Mother arrested on charges of pimping out daughter, 15

Child-protection police arrested a Chaiyapoon mother for
allegedly pimping out her 15-year-old daughter on Beach Road.
Duangjai Polkhummak, 37, was apprehended Nov. 2 by Region 2 officers in
front of a hotel in central Pattaya with four marked 1,000 baht bills.
She was charged with pandering and human trafficking.
An undercover foreign police informant assisted officers with Duangjai’s
arrest, posing as a foreign seeking to purchase the sexual services of
her underage daughter for 4,000 baht during a meeting in front of the
Royal Garden Plaza.
Police said Duangjai confessed to dropping off her daughter to work on
Beach Road, but claimed her daughter had volunteered in order to help
pay off family debts.
