“But I don’t want to get
into that pickup truck!” This 200kg wild boar gives animal rescue
officers all they can handle.

A hungry boar made animal rescue officers look silly for about two
hours, as the noisy pig repeatedly evaded capture in a Sattahip
neighborhood.
Residents of Khrua Navee village called Sawang Rojthummasathan officials
Nov. 20, complaining that the 200 kg animal was rooting through yards
and generally making a nuisance of itself as it searched for its next
meal.
Three officers responded and thought they had easily cornered the
2-year-old, until it squeaked by them. They then lassoed the boar, but
it again escaped by tearing the nylon rope as it was being lifted to a
second-story pen.
It took another couple of hours to again ensnare the animal, with
officers this time swooping it up in a morgue body bag, then tying it in
a knot. To be sure the piggy was packed, they tied it to a sign until a
truck arrived.
Resident Kampanath Lappol, 42, said he was glad the boar was returned
unhurt.
