Officials cut the ribbon to
officially open Samitivej Hospital’s new Occupational Medicine Center.
Cognizant of its location neighboring one of Thailand’s
largest industrial centers, Samitivej Sriracha Hospital has opened that area’s
first Occupational Medicine Center to provide health care services to companies
and their employees.
Director Dr. Noppadol Noppakhun formally opened the center Jan. 24, noting that
in additional to public health services, the hospital also must reach out to
area factories and businesses.
“We are located in the middle of an industrial sector with various businesses,
each of which contains personnel as the heart of the operation. Therefore, the
hospital has decided to open an occupational medicine center to care for these
employees,” Dr. Noppadol said.
The Occupational Medicine Center will design health-care
programs for corporations and offer annual checkups for employees. It also will
treat work-related diseases and accidents, provide vaccination services and
other treatments.
In addition, the center will offer factory inspections and health consultations,
provide health education and workplace safety services.
