The YWCA Bangkok-Pattaya Center will host a competitive walk-run
Saturday to raise funds for its charity fund.
Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome and YWCA Chairwoman Praichit Jetpai announced
the June 15 race at a June 4 press conference. Runners and walkers will
begin on Beach Road between sois 5 and 6 and will cross the finish line
at the site of the former pier in South Pattaya. Registration begins at
3 p.m. and all activities are expected to conclude by 7 p.m.
Participants will be split into male, female and co-ed teams. Winners of
each bracket will receive a HRH Princess Soamsawalee cup and runners up
will receive sponsors trophies.
All proceeds will go to the YWCA’s charity fund, which pays for projects
including the Happy Family program, school farms and free eyeglasses.
