control and crashed into a restaurant.

Twelve Chinese tourists were hurt when they’re tour bus driver
ran a red light in Rayong, lost control and crashed into a restaurant.
Sermyont Tour Co. driver Sudde Saennam and Thai tour guide Niramol
Saennam were also hurt in the Aug. 30 wreck at the Nongbon intersection
of Highway 36 in Nikhom Pattana. The bus overturned with trapped
passengers screaming and smashing windows to escape. The injured were
treated at Mongkut Rayong Hospital.
Witnesses reported that Suddee ran a red light at the Nongbon
intersection, then swerved to avoid oncoming cars. He lost control of
the bus, swerving into a restaurant parking lot, hitting a car and then
smashing into the eatery. Owner Jurairat Khajornklin, 36, and her
daughters scrambled out of the way as the van demolished tables, chairs
and cabinets.
Suddee was arrested for reckless driving.
