Chonburi officials brainstormed ideas on how to
prevent or mitigate the province’s incessant rainy-season flooding.

presided over the Nov. 6 meeting during which the Chonburi Highway
District, Highway Maintenance Office, Rural Roads Office and city hall
were instructed to work together to survey flood-damaged roads and give
their opinions on 10 proposed projects in the national government’s 2.2
trillion baht infrastructure bill.
Heavy rain and two typhoons have exacted a large toll on the province.
On Oct. 22, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra instructed officials to
find solutions to flooding in Chonburi. (CPRD)
