While the National Center for Peace and Order has ended the night-time curfew in
Pattaya, Royal Thai Navy personnel are still standing guard at checkpoints
throughout the east.
In Pattaya, sailors were working a checkpoint on Sukhumvit Road in front of the
Boonthavorn do-it-yourself store.
Lt. J.G. Chamnan Litsomjit said several people have supported the military
presence, offering sailors food and drinks.
Another checkpoint is operating in Sriracha.
