Events

The next Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) meeting will be held on Sunday, August 31. Everyone is warmly welcome. Peter Banner, who has specialized in celebrity fund raising for charities, will be sharing with the audience some funny stories about well known sporting personalities. The Club meets every Sunday morning at the Tavern by the Sea restaurant located on the north end of Beach Road (part of the Amari Orchid Resort). The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9 to 11 a.m.

The annual Jesters Care 4 Kids Children’s Fair will take place from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 7 at the grounds of the Regents International School Pattaya. Expect to see lots of stalls offering some fabulous goodies as well as all the usual party fun and games for kids, both young and old. Stalls at the Fair are still available for rental if you have something to sell and wish to take part in this great charity fundraiser. Horseshoe Point Pattaya is hosting a Ranch Day on Friday, August 29. This fun day is aimed at children aged 5-yrs onwards who may lack in confidence or have issues in areas of learning/strength/speech/motor skills, all of which gain from the therapy given by equine activities. The Jesters Care for Kids Gala Party Night will be held at the Amari Pattaya on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 7 p.m. till late. For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the phone.
