Pattaya police were literally caught flat-footed after a market
vendor allegedly stole 40 pairs of shoes left outside officers’ dorm
rooms
Siriwan Nhongharnpithak, 37, was caught in the officers’ dorm on Second
Road around 5 a.m. Nov. 1 by cops waiting to see who was taking their
shoes and those of family members living there.
Police said Siriwan confessed to lifting loads of loafers, about 40
pairs before she was caught. She told police she planned to sell them
second-hand at the Thepprasit Market for 200 baht each to pay her rent
