The UK Club of Pattaya will be hosting their next
social event in the form of a Beach Barbeque on Sunday 9
September from 3pm at the Hill Beach Resort (next to the Asia Hotel).

The Skal Club (439) of Pattaya and the East
will be celebrating their next luncheon in the

The Paradise Cafe and Grill will be closed
until October 3rd. Hans Banziger and his team take a holiday break and
will reopen on October 4th with a new revised menu and exiting new food
promotions.
La Gritta, the very popular ‘Italian’ and
‘Seafood’ restaurant at the northern end of Beach Road, has a brand-new
a-la-carte menu, reasonably priced. Enjoy comfortable
atmosphere, live piano music, and excellent food and wines.
Pat’s Pies are now stocking a full range of
sausages including exciting new recipes from Australia, Ireland and the
USA. Pat & her staff are once again striving to cater to the needs

Shenanigans Pattaya will be holding its 3rd
Quiz Night on Thursday September 13 starting at 7.30 p.m. The
“Font of all Knowledge”, a previous entrant in a University
Challenge, will be Quiz Master. Prizes will be in generous vouchers for
Shenanigans, as well as t-shirts, hats, etc. The format is teams of 4
with questions in 10 sections, including music, science and sport. Entry
forms available behind the bar.
If you don’t know where to go on a rainy Sunday,
try Henry J Beans on Beach Road. On Sunday’s, they open at 11
a.m., and feature great meals for the kids as well as for Mum and Dad.
By the way, you can now also enjoy a good game of snooker and darts.

Events
Shenanigans Pattaya will be holding a B.C.C.T.
Pub Networking Night on Friday 7th September sponsored by Waste
Management Siam Limited, who will be sponsoring Carlsberg draught, red
& white wine, Jamesons whisky, and soft drinks, whilst Shenanigans
will provide substantial bar snacks. No entry fee for this event but
only those wearing business cards will be supplied with sponsored food
and drink. The main objective is to provide an opportunity for
networking for business people based in the Eastern Seaboard area.
Berli Jucker Wine and Amari Orchid Resort
will arrange “A lucky draw night” on September 8 from
7 p.m. 3 lucky persons will get free wine for one year at Henry J.
Bean’s Bar & Grill. A Mexican buffet will be arranged for all
guests at baht 299.-net per person.
This year’s Charity Bike Ride for the Fountain
of Life will have two registrations for the bike ride, the first
will be at Shenanigans from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Saturday 15th September.
For the 300 baht entry fee the bicyclists will receive their Charity
Bike Ride 2001 t-shirt, the number for the bike ride, registration of
sponsorship, which will allow them unlimited water and the police escort
on the day. Registration will also be possible on the Sunday at the Siam
Bayshore Resort between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. The bike ride will start
at 8 a.m. behind a police escort. This is not a race, but a bike ride to
raise money for the Fountain of Life. A certificate of completion will
be given to all riders.
The Jesters Care for Kids Children’s Fair, now
in its 4 th year will be held
at the Siam Bayshore Resort on Sunday, September 16th
and will be followed by the Charity Pub Night at Shenanigans on Saturday
22nd September. Care for Kids T-Shirts are now available
at various places in Pattaya including Tahitian Queen, Beach Road, The
Blue Parrot, beach end of Soi Pattayaland 2 and Shenanigans. Remember to
pick up your Grand Raffle Tickets for a chance to win the

Exhibitions
Euro Design Art Gallery, Thepprasit Road is
continuing with their art exhibitions and from September 3 to October 19
feature ‘Object of Time’ with paintings and mixed
media, including computer images by Somchai Pouangchin.
