The restaurant review last week for the new Baan Chaiyapruk restaurant had the incorrect telephone number. The correct numbers are 038 232 386 or 038 233 418. Miss Terry Diner blames the second bottle of wine for the oversight! Ms. May also says the new street sign is up, so you should have no difficulty finding the restaurant, but come from the Jomtien Beach Road end of Chaiyapruk Road as they are resurfacing the top end.

Seashell, the original Jomtien Fish and Chip shop, has now introduced British and European favorites “Toasties” to the menu, with a choice of fillings. The original 120 baht snapper and chips is still there on the menu, so there’s no need to panic. Seashell is almost opposite Jomtien Plaza, just before the Dongtal Police station.

Mediterranean Munchies at La Mer Restaurant, Montien Hotel Pattaya is serving a sparkling taste of the Mediterranean for the rest of October. Highlights include Moroccan brick filled with curried chicken and almonds, Mediterranean lamb strudel with mint yoghurt and a Mediterranean chicken casserole with olive and potatoes.
