Pattaya’s very own Daisy Vogt (3rd from left) did it again - for the very first time in the 28-year history of the Mahakam Larb Festival in Chiang Mai, a foreign girl received the award “Miss Popular”, and was additionally crowned 1st runner-up ‘Miss Thida Larb 2003’. The activity was part of the annual Chiang Mai Media Day, and Daisy obviously represented the Chiangmai Mail team. Congratulations from all of us here in Pattaya for a job well done!


Mr. and Mrs. Beaumont from Yorkshire received garlands from their maid Mon who looked after them during their 2 months holiday in the Queen Victoria Inn.


Dusit Resort Pattaya management, led by Chatchawal Supachayanont, general manager, recently organized a hotel staff meeting to provide knowledge and guidelines to prevent Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) from spreading into the hotel and Pattaya City. More then 300 staff attended the meeting at the hotel’s Napalai Ballroom.


Khun Decha Nontakoad, president of the Chonburi Development Disabled Group, led 50 UN ESCAP representatives from the Asia-Pacific region on a visit to the Diana Garden Resort and its long stay project. The group was welcomed by Sopin Thappajug, Diana Group managing director.


The Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, led by Wunnapa Rakkeo (far left), director of marketing communications, recently welcomed the Sen-Tang-See-Rung TV program on Channel 5 team with Chris (center) and Jeffrey (2nd from left) Benjakul, program hosts, to introduce the hotel’s facilities and rooms which have been designed to welcome the disabled.
