Clubs

To all you Black Country and Birmingham people out there, the BBC Club is holding their first get together on Thursday November 11 at the Pig & Whistle on Soi 7. Faggotts and peas for the real men will be available free. They will supply chips for the Brummies plus entertainment from their very own Aynuk and Ayli. The night will kick off about 7.30 (except for those on the late shift at the mines!), so please, all yow ‘BBC ites’ come along and make a good night even greater. The Dutch Expats Club Pattaya (NVP) meets the last Thursday of every month at Dolphin Apartments, Soi 20, South Pattaya Road. They also have groups for bridge, computers, Thai language, fishing, literature and much more. For more information email: [email protected]

The Pattaya International Ladies Club (PILC) will hold their November luncheon on Wednesday November 3 at Indian By Nature beginning at 10:30 am. The November coffee morning will be held on Tuesday the 16th at Art Cafe at 10:30 a.m. The Newcomers Coffee is the 4th Monday in every month at 11:30 a.m. at Casa Pascal Restaurant. This is only for newcomers to the area or just newly joined PILC members. This year’s Christmas Luncheon will be at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort on December 7. There will be a fashion show during this lunch. Limited seating, reservations are a must!

Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) holds its regular Sunday morning meeting at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant at the Amari Orchid Resort on the north end of Beach Road. As always, an international and Thai buffet breakfast, catered by Amari Orchid Resort, is available from 9.30 a.m. prior to the meeting which starts at 10.30 a.m. and finishes about noon. Ample parking available across from the beach and next to Henry J. Bean’s on the left side of Beach Road, just after the turn.

AustCham is hosting an Eastern Seaboard Sundowners this Friday, November 5 at the Ocean Marina Yacht Club from 6.30 p.m. Hosted by Kirwan Industrial Services Co., Ltd and Ocean Marina Yacht Club, it is an opportunity for members and guests of the Australian-Thai Chamber of Commerce to meet, network and exchange views in a social environment. First 35 people to show up at 5 p.m. will have the chance to join in a special sunset cruise on the Seraph. The Seraph will cruise along the Jomtien shoreline taking in the sunset and arrive back at the marina just in time for the crew to move on the ESS. Those that join will assist in hauling the halyards and raising the sails, we may even need some help to deplete the Austcham beer supply in time for the 6.30 to 9.30 p.m. Sundowner networking function. The German Thai Chamber of Commerce will hold the next Stammtisch networking night in Pattaya at the Moon River Pub on Friday November 5. Starts at 6 p.m. As usual, special room rate for GTCC members: 900 baht net.

This year, the Y4Y Music Festival is set for November 5 and 6. Performances will be “Broadway Musical” and “Jazz”. The festival begins with a classical riding show at the grand arena of the Horseshoe Point and carry on with the “Broadway Musical in the Park” at the Three Kingdoms Park. Duangdao and Mongkol Chayasirisophon will be singing their beautiful Broadway music on the night of November 5. A Jazz in the Park concert on November 6 will be performed by “No Square” Jazz quartet from Switzerland and the local All Star Band from Bangkok with Kob Saowanit Nawaphan as the lead singer.
