Pattaya celebrates
26th Anniversary as a city
The rapid growth of Pattaya over the years goes without
saying and much would not have been possible if the city was not handed
self-governing precedence. On Monday morning, November 29, city administrators,
councilors and government staff celebrated 26 years to the day Pattaya
transformed from a municipality into a city.
Ceremonies took place outside city hall in front of the King
Taksin Monument, special to Pattaya, since it was the great king who gave the
then fishing village its name.

Last Friday, November 26 coincided with the 15th night
of the 12th lunar month of the Thai calendar, a night in which tradition
denotes as Loy Krathong. Celebrations are performed around the nation.

Out Entertainment Complex in Soi 8 last week. Whilst there he also witnessed

Paradorn Super Tour 2004 visits Royal Cliff Beach Resort

The Paradorn Tour Super 2004 kicked off in Pattaya at the
Royal Cliff Beach Resort last Thursday evening. The well attended event, now
in its third year, saw Asia’s number one Paradorn Srichaphan play
long-time friend, Germany’s Nicolas Kiefer, and Tamarine Tanasugarn play
rising Russian star, 17-year-old, Anna Chakvetadze.
