Clubs
The Rotary Club Of Taksin-Pattaya will be holding a
bring & buy sale on Monday December 12, starting at 5 p.m. at the Bavarian
Beer Garden, Beach Road, Pattaya, to raise funds for club charities. Entrance
will be 100 baht for adults, children get in free. Free buffet dinner (western
food). Everyone attending must bring with them something for the club to sell.

The next Pattaya Charity Club event, for the Children
of Issan Wheelchair and Walking Aid Appeal, will be on Friday December 9,
at 7 p.m. at the Queen Victoria Inn Soi 6 Pattaya. A full bar and menu
will be available on the night and raffle tickets are on sale now at the Queen
Victoria Inn; 60 baht each or 10 for 500 baht. The Charity Club, Pattaya
is sponsored by John Smith & the Queen Victoria Inn. All the
money raised will go towards buying wheelchairs and walking aids for the
children in Issan provinces.
Author Christopher G. Moore will be the speaker at the Pattaya
City Expats Club meeting on Sunday December 11. The board is pleased that
Christopher has agreed to include a Sunday speaking engagement in his busy
schedule. The Canadian-born author will be talking about his 20 years of
writing since his time as a teacher of law at the University of British
Colombia, and more especially his decision to write about events in his
adoptive country of Thailand. He is well known for his Vicente Calvino Private
Eye series and his non-fiction book Heart Talk. He will explain
something of the background of his latest novel Gambling on Magic. PCEC
meetings are held in Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant in the grounds of
the Amari Orchid Resort North Pattaya Beach Road, and are open to all. They

Celebrate Christmas at the Thai Garden Resort,
