Swim for a Cause:
All physically fit swimmers and big-hearted sponsors are invited to join the 3rd
Cross Bay Charity Swim on Sunday, 22 October. Dusit Resort, Pattaya together
with the Rotary Club of Jomtien-Pattaya are organizing the 3.5-km swim
starting at 1 pm from Sea Rescue, near Bali Hai Lighthouse, and ending at
Dusit Resort’s Chaba Beach, where sponsors and the children of the Ban Jing
Jai Orphanage will be waiting to cheer the contestants. For contest

The Charity Club of Pattaya is building a classroom
to house 40+ Children at the Wat Wang Wa School. The school is situated just
outside Klaeng, South of Rayong. Until the end of November, with the help of
the following establishments, various pub nights will be held with the
proceeds being donated to the Charity Club of Pattaya. Remaining dates and
venues involved in the project are as follows: October 14 at Shenanigans;
October 27 at Kilkenny’s; and the finale will be held at the home of the
Charity Club of Pattaya: The Queen Victoria Inn Soi 6 on Sat. November 11. All
the Pub Nights will be holding a charity raffle as well on the night. Watch

The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats
Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, October 15th.
The Club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the
north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program
starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to
11 a.m. Everyone is warmly welcome. This week the speaker will be Dr. Iain
Corness. Dr Corness is a consultant at Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital, and will talk
about his role in advising and helping foreigners at the hospital, for their
particular problem. This will be followed by the usual open forum and update
