Events
There will be a BCCT Eastern Seaboard Networking Evening on Friday
April 23 from 6.30 p.m. at the Beach Bar & Grill on Beach Road close to
Central Road and next to Hard Rock Hotel & Montien Hotel Pattaya. The Beach
Bar & Grill is sponsoring finger buffet food & Fluid Asia Pacific is
sponsoring beer on a first-come, first-served basis from 6.30 -8.00 p.m. All
members and guests are welcome: THB 300 per person (BCCT members) and THB
1,000 per person (non BCCT members). BCCT members can book on-line in the

There will be a special talk by German psychotherapist Barbara Barkemeyer at
the North Star Library on Wednesday 28 April from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The talk and discussion will be on the subject “How can we make the world a

Pattaya Pride (formerly Pattaya Gay Festival) will be holding two
events in April this year. The first is a fund-raising dinner at Pagoda
Restaurant in Jomtien Complex on Wednesday April 28. The evening starts at 8
p.m. with a welcome “Pagoda” cocktail plus canapes and is then followed by a
sumptious dinner. The price is 1,350 baht which includes a 350 baht donation
to the Pattaya Pride charities. Reservations should be made directly to

second event is the Pattaya Pride Rear of the Year 2010 to be held at the
Copa Showbar in Boyz Town (Pattayaland Soi 3) on Friday, April 30. This
popular annual event gives contestants the opportunity to win some of the
24,000 baht prize money donated by Boyz Town businesses. Entrance is 250
baht which includes your first drink and a 100 baht donation to the Pattaya
Pride Charities.

The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC)
will be on Sunday, April 25. Everyone is warmly welcome. Everyone is warmly

Bean renovation to the Tavern will not be completed and the Amari Orchid
Resort has previously scheduled events in their other meeting rooms of

topic of “Breadwinner or Homemaker - whose health is more important?” The
talk will be followed by the ever lively and often humorous Open Forum where
questions are asked and answers given about living in Pattaya as well as an

For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand
have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the
telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates
24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate
community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will
provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the
phone. All calls will be handled on an anonymous basis and are free of
