in grand style, welcoming dozens of Thai and foreign guests with flower
garlands upon their arrival.

from Thailand to England. All branches of the Marriott Hotel served Thai
dishes on this date in an attempt to set a world record.”

Marriott chefs come up with creative ways to serve some of the popular Thai
dishes being served during the evening event.
Somsak went on to say that Thai food is recognized
throughout the world, and the Thai dishes served during the evening were
served because “they have proven to be favorites in every corner of the
world.”
Dominic Sherry, regional vice president, sales and
marketing for Marriott International Asia Pacific added, “Thai cuisine has
gained worldwide popularity in recent years. … In an effort to restore

The “Worldwide Dinner Event” took place during Marriott
International’s customer appreciation week, allowing Marriott properties
across Asia, Europe and elsewhere to say thank you to its customers. The
coordination in having the dinners occur simultaneously allows Marriott to
compete for the world record.
“We are very excited at the possibility of setting a new
world record,” Sherry added. “It has become a real team effort with
participation from numerous hotels and resorts around the globe … and
extremely exciting initiative to support the wonderful country and people of
Thailand.”
