Students from Aksorn Suksa School cleaned garbage off
North Pattaya Beach as part of an environmental-awareness course.
Sumalee Suebkinnon, head of public works and
technology at the school, led students on the Feb. 16 cleanup. Primary
and secondary students went on alternating days to collect garbage.
Sumalee said the program was to make students aware
of the pollution problem and its impact on not only the environment, but
on the image of Pattaya and its popularity as a tourist resort.
She said he hoped other schools follow Aksorn’s
example to clean up the beachfront.
