Staff of the Dusit Thani Pattaya pay their respects to GM Chatchawal Supachayanont, the loving father who has looked after them for so many years, during the ‘Rod nam dam hua’ ceremonies at the hotel.


General Kanit Permsub (seated left), Deputy Aide de Camp, General to His Majesty the King, along with Khunying Busyarat Permsub (centre) presided over the ‘Rod nam dam hua’ ceremonies at the Hard Rock Hotel. Staff and friends sprinkled scented water onto the hands of the revered couple along with senior members of the hotel including GM Jorge Carlos Smith (right).


The Pattaya Mail Media Group, held a ‘Rod nam dam hua’ ceremony in our businesses premises where Martin Bilsborrow, our sports editor joined family and staff in pouring lustral water on the hands of our elders Marlowe Malhotra (2nd right) Pratheep Malhotra (left), Jasmeet Malhotra (2nd right) and Supatra Samleekaew (right) and received blessings in return.


Management and staff of the Pullman Pattaya Aisawan management held the ancient Thai Lanna ‘Rod nam dam hua’ ceremony for Serge Rigodin, Operations Manager of Pullman Pattaya Aisawan, Sitthiporn Hanyanunt owner of the Malaysia Hotel and other senior management. After the ceremonies everyone enjoyed the festive Songkran festivities at the Beach Club which brought joy and happiness to all.


Onanong Siripornmanut (standing right) Chairperson together with committee members Kittisak Pensuwaparp (seated front left) and Worapan Anuchalakom (standing rear) of the Rotary District 3340 Youth Exchange Program led a group of ‘inbound’ youth exchange students on an adventurous educational trip to the north of Thailand recently. The children of various nationalities and cultures experienced firsthand the customs and lifestyles of the native Thai people of that region. The Youth Exchange students come from various countries in North and South America, Europe and Asia. The Rotary Youth Exchange program provides thousands of young students with the opportunity to meet people from other countries and to experience new cultures, planting the seeds for a lifetime of international understanding.
