HRH Princess Chakri Sirindhorn receives a gift from Prof.
Dr. L.D. Britt, a member of the American delegation who attended the joint
36th Annual Scientific Meeting between the Royal College of Surgeons of
Thailand (RCST) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS), July 14-17, at
the Ambassador City Jomtien Hotel in Pattaya. The theme of the
seminar was “International Collaboration in Surgery.”

Philippe Guenat-Patry (2nd left), Member of Parliament
(Geneva Switzerland) and hotelier extraordinaire, operating many hotels in
Switzerland including his flagship the Hotel des Nations in Geneva, having
also spent many years as the GM of the Royal Garden Group of hotels in
Pattaya and other cities in Thailand, recently paid a courtesy call on HE
Sutham Phanthusak (2nd right), proprietor of the Woodlands Resort to
congratulate him on his appointment as Senator to serve in the Thai
parliament. Accompanying him were long-time friends Peter Malhotra (left),
MD Pattaya Mail and veteran hotelier Philippe Delaloye (right).

The 3rd Indonesia - Thailand
Energy Forum (ITEF) was held at the Holiday Inn Pattaya. Delegates
included Dr. Kurujit Nakornthap (centre), Deputy Permanent Secretary,
Ministry of Energy of Thailand; H.E. Mohammed Hatta (2nd
right), Ambassador of Indonesia to Thailand; and Dr. Hadiyanto (2nd
right), Assistant to Minister for Institutional and Strategic Planning,
Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Indonesia.
Serge Rigodin (right), Operations Manager of Pullman
Pattaya Aisawan welcomes Sophie Renaud (left), Consul of the French
Embassy in Bangkok, who was chief guest at the French National Day
celebrations held at the resort recently. The French community in Pattaya
attended in force. The evening culminated in a colourful fireworks display.
Peter Wiesner (4th left), Senior
Vice President - Network Management for Bangkok Airways, hosted the
world renowned 269th Guggitaler get together at the
Heichinrou Chinese Restaurant of the Amari Watergate, Bangkok
recently. The event coincided with the Hong Kong Food Festival which saw 2
master chefs from the island of dragons prepare the finest of Chinese
cuisine for the Swiss nationals and their guests. (l-r) Executive Chef Chow,
Pierre Andre Pelletier, the hotel’s GM, Henry Widler, MD Pacific Leisure
Phuket, Peter Wiesner, Luzi Matzig, founder of Asian Trails, Thomas Maurer,
Cooks Travel Thailand, Chef Ming and Chef Hong both from Hongkong.
