Disabled Chonburi residents were given a chance to learn
a new craft at occupational training seminars offered by the Ban Suan
government.
About 30 people took part in the June 25-27 and June
28-29 training sessions at the Ban Suan Child Development Center. Courses
covered how to create artificial flowers and create wire sculptures.
Ruangpit Kankulwot lectured on making flowers from
gossamer and paper while Wisut Kaewngam offered training on wire work.
Ban Suan Mayor Jakawan Tangorakorb said the disabled, if
given the opportunity, can learn to make a living for themselves. The town,
he added, organizes activities for disabled citizens regularly, including
health checks, occupational training and supplying wheelchairs and other
equipment. (CPRD)
