Begging in the middle of
the street is dangerous.

While common in some larger cities in the west,
beggars approaching motorists at stoplights have been virtually unseen
in Pattaya until recently.
This man, spotted July 9, would wai and beg for money
from stopped drivers. Some took pity, rolling down their window and
donating money. But the scene not only creates a dangerous traffic
situation, but damages the image of Pattaya.
Assumed to be homeless, this beggar and others in a
similar situation deserve the attention of City Hall.
