The Diana Group and Press Association of Pattaya
celebrated the start of Buddhist Lent by offering candles and supplies
to monks at area temples.
Diana Group Managing Director Sopin Thappajug led the
July 26 candle-presentation ceremony that saw the donation of one
Buddhist candles and eight garments, medicine and other items to monks
at Najomtien, Nongprue and Nernplabwan temples.
Following the presentation, hotel and press
representatives planted trees and seeds for jackfruit, mangoes and
morning glory at the Anti-Human Trafficking Center on Soi Nernplabwan.
In addition, the group also donated necessities and provided dinner to
the 20 children under the care of the center.
Sopin said the annual candle presentation was another
in the hotel group’s many efforts to promote Buddhist dharma.
