A tour bus driver died after suffering a seizure at a
Pattaya pool hall.
Police pronounced Chalit Aranchalathorn, 58, dead at
the unnamed parlor located next to a tour bus parking lot on Soi
Phettrakul in Naklua Sept. 5. Officers found no signs he was attacked.
Employee Saengdara Pinphetr, 43, said Chalit
frequently stopped into the pool hall after dropping off tourists.
Before he died, he’d been working on the bus and came into shower and
rest. Suddenly, she said, he suffered some sort of seizure and collapse.
Other bus drivers, thinking the seizure might be
contagious, fled, leaving the man on the floor to die. The body was
transferred to Banglamung Hospital for autopsy.
