Students receive scholarship
funds from Navy Savings Union officers.

The Navy Savings Union awarded nearly 600,000 baht in
scholarships to children of its military members.
Vice Adm. Chainarong Chareonrak, president of Sattahip
Naval Base Saving and Credit Cooperative Ltd., presided over the Sept. 4
ceremony at the Sanyabut Club on the Sattahip Naval Base.
The event marked the 12th year the bank awarded
scholarships. This year, 245 children received a total 576,000 baht. Union
Life Insurance donated 500,000 of that to the bank to distribute.
Scholarships were divided into two types, “Good Student”
awards of nine 3,000 baht scholarships for early Mattayom students; 10
scholarships of 3,000 baht for late Mattayoms; three scholarships for
vocational education and three scholarships of 5,000 baht for higher
education.
The second group was for “Education Support” divided into
five divisions consisting of 28 scholarships of 2,000 baht for kindergarten;
95 scholarships of 2,500 baht for Prathom students, 72 scholarships of 2,500
baht for Mattayom, 12 scholarships of 2,5000 for vocational education and 13
scholarships of 3,000 for higher education.
