Pattaya celebrates Elephant Day
Presesrving the species and promoting tourism

On Elephant Day, this beautiful beast gave a magical demonstration of the days when elephants were used to win wars.

A parade of beautifully dressed young elephants in decorative attire began “Wan Chang Thai” or “Elephant Day” at the Pattaya Elephant Camp in Na-Jomtien.

The Pattaya Thai Elephant Preservation Group and the Tourist Authority of Thailand Central Region 3, along with the Provincial Wildlife Office organized the event to help preserve the species and promote tourism.
