The Fountain of Life Woman’s Center needs
help! If you would be interested in teaching English at the FOL Women’s
Center in Naklua for a couple of hours in the afternoons, please call Kathleen
on 086 153 1545. The teaching requires no Thai knowledge and those interested
can accompany Kathleen on Mondays to her class to see what is involved.
The Pattaya International Ladies Club
(PILC) will hold their Annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday,
October 4, at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort in Pattaya and all the
proceeds will go to local charities. The Bazaar raffle tickets are now on sale

The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats
Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, August 17. The club meets every Sunday
morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach Road in the
grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m.
with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11 a.m., everyone welcome. The
PCEC periodically invites guest speakers to provide information of interest on
one’s health. This week the PCEC’s guest speaker will be a doctor from
Phyathai Hospital Sriracha. This talk will be followed by the ever-lively Open
Forum and an update on the happenings in and around Pattaya. A full report

For the past 28 years the Samaritans of
Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services
over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line
operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate
community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide
active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the phone. All
calls will be handled on an anonymous basis and are free of charge. Please
