Pattaya area youths won thousands of baht in cash and music lessons
as the 2013 Yamaha Pattaya Young Talent concluded.
The competition, which began with applications in January, wrapped up at
the Tiffany Theater March 3.
Categories covered Thai folk songs for children under 12 and for teens,
modern Thai and international songs for the same age groups, band
performances, and a sixth category for dance routines.
The winner of each contest received an HRH Princess Soamsawalee Cup with
cash prizes.

In the Japanese/Korean pop dance competition, a group
called “Life Stage” won the 5,000 baht first place. “Hundreds Point” won
second and “I Wanna Love You” took third.
Phokhaporn Sukhpanit, 11, won the 5,000 baht first place award for the
Thai country music singing contest for pre-teens. Natakarn Bakhan and
Suthiraj Sanohlam, 12, won second and third.
The Under-12 winner for international or Thai pop singing saw Pathamkan
Osot, 10, win first, Kaewalin Huajaiphet, 10, take second and Chaipas
Sombunkul, 12, win third.
In the teen Thai country singing contest, Kamin Chingphakwaen, 15, took
first, Suwimol Buathong, 17, second, and Monthathip Jatuporncharoenying,
16, third.
Panthita Khongsamrit, 15, took first place in the teen international
song category with Pathompong Somsuk, 17, and Samantha Melanie, 17,
placing second and third.
The winning teen band was “Loney Park.” Second and third place were
secured by bands “Box in Shame” and “Hidoor.”
Pattaya Fah Mai group also presented 105 scholarships to outstanding
students who have limited funds from different schools in Pattaya City.
