A man impersonating a police officer was arrested by real cops after
allegedly groping a teenage convenience store clerk, stealing a bottle of
whiskey, then lingering to drink it at the scene of the crime.
Kittikorn Hinkong, 45, was taken into custody July 4 outside a Family Mart
on Soi Buakaow where, just moments before, he’d allegedly accosted a
17-year-old clerk while claiming he was a police lieutenant.
The teenager called her mother, claiming Kittikorn came into the shop under
pretenses of a police investigation and searched the girl. She complained he
ran his hands over her and lifted up her shirt before taking 300 baht and a
bottle of Saengsom.
Police didn’t have to go far to find him, as Kittikorn sat outside the shop
drinking the whiskey while staring at the girl.
