A weak parking brake turned into a watery accident when a pickup
truck fell into the sea in Sattahip.
Petty Officer 1st Class Watcharanet Chairop, 30, said he pulled the hand
brake when he parked his Mitsubishi Triton near Sattahip Bay beach
barrier Feb. 11. Not realizing how steep the slope was, the left the car
only to return and find waves lapping at its rear end in the sand.
Sattahip Naval Base and area rescue workers took an hour to salvage the
vehicle with a tow truck.
