A privately-owned Nong Plalai housing development now has its own police
box following a donation of two cars to Banglamung Police by the
village’s owner.
Chonburi Provincial Police head Maj. Gen. Khatcha Thatsart and Nongprue
Mayor Mai Chaiyanit opened the Pornthip Village police mini-station on
Soi Chiyapornwitti 25 May 1.
The village is owned by Athirot Thanasinpiyarom, the president of the
Chonburi Police Administrative Audit Committee. At the ceremony he
presented two police vehicles to Khatcha for use by the Nongprue Police
Station to patrol his development.
Khatcha said the Pornthip Village box will provide security and service
to local residents 24 hours a day and was made possible with private
donations so no public funding was needed.
