1 dead, 1 injured in Third Road motorbike accident

One woman was killed and her boyfriend injured when their motorbike
hit a minibus on Third Road head-on.
Waraporn Hothaisong, 22, died of a broken neck and other injuries in the May
3 accident in front of the Kawee-ek bar. Her unidentified 19-year-old
boyfriend was hospitalized at Banglamung Hospital.
Khomsan Saibunmee, the 63-year-old driver of the Trans Asian Line Co.
minibus, said he was going to pick up Russian tourists when he saw the
couple driving the wrong way on Third Road. He said the bike suddenly cut in
front of him, leaving him no time to stop.
The black-red Yamaha Nuvo was cut in two.
