Clubs
The Skal Club of Pattaya and the East will
hold their next meeting on Thursday August 16 beginning at
11 a.m. at Casa Pascal (on Pattaya Second Road). If you are in tourism
industry, be sure to come along to these meetings and meet with other
professionals involved in tourism and travel.
The Rotary Club of Taksin Pattaya meets weekly
at the Royal Garden Resort on Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. Call

The UK Club of Pattaya will be holding its
next social family event in honour of the British Queen Mother’s
101st birthday at the Bangsaray Club in Bangsaray on Saturday
August 4. The event will take the form of an afternoon garden party...so
come on ladies...let’s get those bonnets and hats out. Transport will

The newly opened Center Point Pub will have a Special
Buffet on Saturday July 28 from 7 p.m. for just 50 baht per
person, and for the late night eaters free Khao Tom Thai Style Buffet

Verandah Coffee Shop in the Montien Hotel is now
holding Theme Buffet Evenings. Tuesdays exotic cuisine

Entertainment
Big screen action at Shenanigans Pattaya on
Saturday 28th July with the Tri-Nations Rugby between
Australia and South Africa at 10.00 p.m. Then on Sunday 29th July
starting at 2.00 p.m. they’re showing the first 12 episodes of the
British Comedy “Absolutely Fabulous” starring Jennifer
Saunders and Joanna Lumbley. This is followed by a live broadcast of the
Formula One Grand Prix at 7.00 p.m.
The Elvis Pub and Restaurant on Pattaya 2 nd
Road, opposite the Central Festival Center, entertains with all the hits
from the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
The Warbler 2 Pub and Restaurant is now open
in the Baiyoke Hotel. One of Bangkok’s hippest pubs comes to Pattaya

Events
The Pattaya Gay Festival continues in its charity
events to raise money for Heartt 2000 and the Naklua Drug Rehabilitation
Center and has now raised over 1.9 million baht. Their next event will
be a Charity Dinner at the Balcony Restaurant on North
Pattaya Road, Saturday July 28, at 8:30pm. Tickets are 750 baht,
available from the Balcony, the Ambiance Hotel and the Icon Boutique
Hotel.
On Wednesday 1st August from 7 p.m. onwards in the
Tropical Garden - a touch of Switzerland in Pattaya when the Amari
Orchid Resort is celebrating Swiss National Day with a
sumptuous buffet with Swiss delicacies including “Zuercher
geschnetzeltes”, “bratwurst with roesti” and “raclette”. Their
Swiss chef will make sure you feel like you are in the Alps! A number of
surprises are lined up that are guaranteed to make the evening very
