Clubs

The Rayong Ladies Circle will host the following activities: Monday the 20th they are taking the children of Huey Pong to the Navy Beach in Sattahip. Meet there at 10.30 a.m. On Tuesday May 21st there will be an Indonesian cooking class, starting at 9.30 a.m. at Sinthavee Park in Ban Chang. On Thursday May 30th the Rayong Ladies Circle will hold their Annual Bazaar from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. at the clubhouse of Eastern Star Resort in Ban Chang. All proceeds go to local charities. Many different items for sale, good for home leave presents! Entrance fee is 100 baht. The Pattaya International Ladies Club meets for their monthly coffee morning on Tuesday May 21 at the Orchid Room of Amari Hotel at 10:30 a.m. Come and meet some new ladies living in Pattaya. June 1 is the PILC Meet and Greet at the poolside of the Amari Orchid Resort from 7 p.m. till the late. A great way to meet new people; everyone is welcome. The Queen Vic Pub (Soi Yodsak 6) has at present 4 ex-paras, 1 ex-Legionair, 1 ex-Coldstream Guard, 1 ex-Life Guard, 1 ex-US Navy, 1 ex-Royal Navy and 1 ex-Traffic Warden all staying in the pub, plus many past and serving members who pop in for a drink. Pattaya Expats Club - expats helping expats. Breakfast meetings every Sunday, 11 a.m. at the Astoria Resort, just off the Dolphin circle (take the small Soi to the right of the Dusit Resort Hotel entrance). This Sunday’s presentation from two Bangkok attorneys will be on the many aspects of Thai Visa regulations. If you cannot make it to the meeting, you can request help on line on the club’s web site www.pattayaexpatsclub.com, but don’t even think about enjoying Sunday breakfast except in the company of your fellow expats here in Pattaya.

The Australian Thai Chamber of Commerce will host another Eastern Seaboard Sundowners on Friday, 17th May, beginning at 6.30 p.m. at the Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa. This is a great opportunity to network with members and friends based on the Eastern Seaboard and catch up on business activities in the area. This event is sponsored by Westpac Banking Corporation and Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa. Members 300 baht, non-members 500 baht.

The Friends of Somporn will host an Australian BBQ Saturday night May 18 from 7:30 p.m. Od’s Spot South Pattaya to benefit Somporn, the Thai lad, age 22, with total kidney failure. This Friday, May 17th, Shenanigans Pattaya will hold its second Black Night with Black Label Johnnie Walker Whisky from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Then for one week, special prices for Black Label during all Happy Hours. On Saturday 18th May will be another two for one night on all spirits. At 11 p.m. on Saturday, the Shenanigans New Disco kicks in with Pattaya’s own finest DJ.
