Organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in the UK, ‘Motiv8 Thailand’ was the name chosen for the recent educational trip for key British incentive clients to Thailand. The program involved 40 clients who were split up into 8 groups. Each group then visited different regions of Thailand, including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Krabi, Kanchanaburi, Hua Hin, Ko Samui, Phuket and Pattaya. Under the guidance of Destination Management Company, Pacific World, the group visiting Pattaya stayed at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort and was given extensive tours of the town and sites during their 3-night stay.


Richard Walker (center), who has been a guest at the Thai Garden Resort for many years, appears to ask his wife Nan for advice about how to cut his birthday cake. Richard celebrated his birthday a few days ago with friends.

Lucky Carousel Bar enjoyed its grand opening party on July 5th, 2002 by welcoming all customers and guests to a celebration drink. Amporn Sawatsaloong (white shirt center) and her partner August E. Steiner opened the Lucky Carousel Bar on Soi Diamond South Pattaya (near Diamond Beach Hotel).


Long time Pattaya residents Bill and Pat Burbridge recently held a triple celebration with family and friends at Au Bon Coin Restaurant on Soi 5. Bill celebrated his sixth cycle birthday, Pat celebrated her fifth cycle birthday and together they celebrated 25 years of marriage. Everyone enjoyed the party as the wine and celebratory spirits flowed easily from outstanding bartenders. Somporn Naksuetrong (center) general manager of Ripley ‘s Believe It or Not! Museum Pattaya, donated funds raised by the museum to Professor Dr. Praphan Phanuphak, director of the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Center (right) to help “Save a Child’s Life from AIDS”. Vichai Lertlitrichai, Ripley’s PR Manager, witnessed the presentation.
