The Pattaya International Ladies Club, led by president Laurence Fatus, recently held their monthly meeting at the Montien Hotel. Mayor Pairat Suttithamrongsawat and Mrs. Kathleen Johnson, wife of the Ambassador of the United States in Thailand, were among the many distinguished guests warmly welcomed at the luncheon.

The Rotary Club of Jomtien Pattaya held one of its famous fellowship parties at the Cabbages & Condoms Resort and Restaurant last week. As usual, many Rotarians attended bringing along their spouses and friends to join the fun. One guest had even flown all the way up from ‘down under’.

Students from ten Pattaya schools participated in a 3-week interscholastic sports competition for all students in the region. The event was called the “Pattaya School Day 2002” and was held at Pattaya School #7 (Nongpungkhae).

Richard Roberts crowned Canadian Jackalope Open 2002 Champion

Richard Roberts scored 41 points to win the Canadian Jackalope Open 2002 Charity Golf Championship played Friday, September 6 at Plutaluang Golf Course in Sattahip. Roberts earned the title by virtue of a count back over an equally fine performance from Steve Donovan, who also scored 41 Stableford points but only 20 on the back nine compared to Roberts’ 21.
